1. What this agreement covers
By creating a member account, you agree that the OpenAI Club at UT Dallas may use the information you provide and the activity data generated through your use of the platform for the purposes described below.
2. Data you provide
This includes your name, UTD email, major, graduation year, interests, bio, profile photo, and any other fields you choose to fill out.
3. Data generated through your participation
This includes event attendance, event registrations, check-ins, points earned, project contributions, quiz and poll responses, achievements, tier progress, study group membership, mentor requests, referrals, and any other club activity tracked through the platform.
4. How the Club may use this data
The Club may use this data to:
- Maintain membership records and verify active status.
- Run events, track attendance, and award points.
- Build leaderboards, participation stats, and member recaps.
- Recognize contributors and showcase projects and achievements.
- Improve events, content, and the club experience.
- Report aggregate or anonymized trends to officers and sponsors.
5. What the Club will not do
The Club will not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it outside the Club or authorized University systems. Personal data is shared only with the officer board and University advisors as needed for club operations.
6. Your control
You can update most of your data and choose whether your profile is public from your member profile. You may request account deletion or data export by contacting an officer.
7. Changes to this agreement
The Club may update this agreement as the platform or club operations change. Continued use of your account means you accept the updated terms.
